Hello
My name is Mélanie Wouters
From a young age, I knew I wanted a career in Fashion. A dream that became a reality in 2014.

After completing a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology, I decided to dive deeper into learning more about the graphic design programs, such as Adobe Illustrator, before starting my career.

I started my journey as a product developer for the brand CKS. This later transformed into being an assistant designer for womenswear as well as kids wear.
At the end of 2016, I was ready for new adventure, and I started working as a designer for a private label brand, Astrid Black Label, for the multi-brand store ZEB. Because of this quite unique job description, I did the designing of this brand, as well as developing and buying. Throughout the years I got a good perspective on how to go from conceptualizing to completion of collections under tight schedules.
Hereby I also did the styling of the photoshoots. In close cooperation with the art director and photographer, we tried to bring every shoot to a new level.

After years of experience, I’ve achieved an extensive knowledge of taking a design through production to create marketable, innovative and commercial merchandise.
I have a keen eye and passion for commercial designing and styling. I’m highly intuitive and draw inspiration from the world around me.
